Meet Heather Shelton

Holistic Health Practitioner | Psychedelic Facilitator | Plant Medicine Educator

With over 25 years of experience in patient care, Heather Shelton brings a rare blend of clinical expertise, intuitive presence, and deep reverence for Nature to her work in holistic healing. She currently serves as a facilitator, intake specialist, and medical specialist at EPIC Healing Eugene—the nation’s first licensed psilocybin service center—where she played a foundational role in launching the program in 2023.

Heather’s journey in healing began in homebirth midwifery and herbalism and evolved through more than a decade of emergency and infusion nursing. Over the years, she has integrated this robust clinical background with her deep-rooted passion for plant medicine, serving as a cannabis consultant, herbalist, and psychedelic facilitator. She is also trained in ketamine-assisted therapy, supporting clients through both IM and IV administration in clinical and home settings.

At the heart of Heather’s practice is her enduring relationship with the natural world. For decades, she has worked with plants for healing, beauty, and connection, teaching classes and mentoring apprentices at HerbSong Farm in Eugene, Oregon. She believes our disconnection from Nature lies at the root of many modern physical and mental health challenges—and her work helps others reconnect, heal, and rediscover themselves through Nature’s wisdom.

Heather is deeply committed to mind-body-spirit integration, and is inspired by the transformative potential of psychedelic medicine. She is a respected member of the Subtle Winds Psilocybin Education Team and has presented nationally and internationally on topics including herbal medicine, cannabis therapeutics, and ethical psychedelic care.

As a practitioner, Heather is known for her integrity, deep listening, and ability to hold compassionate, nonjudgmental space. Her approach centers around patient autonomy, safety, consent, and empowerment—ensuring each person feels seen, heard, and supported on their healing journey. She views facilitation not just as a role, but a sacred responsibility that calls for humility, presence, and an unwavering commitment to doing no harm

Known for her intuition, wisdom, and ability to guide others through transformational healing, Heather Shelton is a respected leader in the growing fields of plant and psychedelic medicine. Her work continues to bridge science and spirit, offering pathways of healing that are grounded, ethical, and deeply connected to the Earth.

Meet Megan

I am a mother, artist and herbalist. I have lived in Oregon for almost 30 years and love all of the natural beauty this state has to offer. I enjoy teaching and learning about herbs and art in all forms in my free time. My favorite herbs to use are tulsi, rose and hawthorn for the heart. I can often be found in the garden and I grow a collection of flowers and herbs to use in art and herbal formulas throughout the year. In addition to teaching herb classes with Heather, I also hold crafting classes throughout the year in Eugene. You can learn more about my art endeavors here goldenheartarts.com
